AMESDonovan Jackson, one of the most coveted junior college point guards, Tweeted his commitment to Iowa State tonight.

Jackson averaged 13.6 points points and shot 40.2 percent percent from 3-point range as a freshman last season at Iowa Western.

The 6-1 Milwaukee native’s offers list reportedly included Oklahoma, Illinois, Wichita State, Ole Miss, Iowa and Virginia Tech.

Jackson will have two years to play for ISU beginning in the 2016-17 season.

Jackson spoke to Cyclone Fanatic publisher Chris Williams earlier this month following a visit and he had plenty of good things to say about Cyclones coach Steve Prohm

“I talk to Coach Prohm all of the time,” Jackson told Williams at the time. “He’s a really good dude and a funny guy. He cracks jokes. He gives off a good vibe. He mentioned to me quite a few times about how he helped develop Cameron Payne and Isaiah Canaan. They had skill when they got there but under the right system, that’s what helped them get to where they are now.”
