Iowa State’s Emily Ryan posted a message through her social media accounts on Tuesday afternoon, seemingly in reference to earlier happenings in the day.

The message was posted less than two hours after the news broke that Denae Fritz would become the fifth player from Iowa State to enter the transfer portal since the team’s season ended with a NCAA Tournament loss to Toledo.

Ryan, the team’s point guard, posted three photos with the coaching staff in Ames along with the message, ‘Ride or die through it all. Love you Cyclone Nation.”

If there were any worries Ryan’s return might be in question, they’re squandered now.

Iowa State has five commits coming into the program with the 2023 recruiting class – which is the highest rated in program history.

It includes McDonald’s All-American Addy Brown, another ESPN top 50 recruit in Jalynn Bristow, an ESPN top 100 prospect in Audi Crooks, IBCA All-Star MVP Arianna Jackson and Blue Star top 100 prospect Kelsey Joens, the sister to graduating star Ashley Joens.

Nyamer Diew, Izzi Zingaro, Shantavia Dawkins and Mary Kate King all look to be returning for the 2023-24 season, with Ryan.
