Iowa State fans woke up to a present on Saturday morning. The football program officially has its first commitment of the 2023 recruiting class.

Nevada tight-end prospect Carson Rhodes announced on social media that he’d be moving down the road:

Rhodes, a 6-foot-7, 245-pound athlete holds offers from Kent State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and others.

By 247Sports’ recruiting rankings, Rhodes is the No. 10 prospect in Iowa and the No. 43 rated tight end recruit in the country.
