Iowa State has seen two players transfer out of its women’s basketball program this off-season, but it made up for one of them on Wednesday.

Butler’s Nyamer Diew is headed back to Iowa after playing her high school ball at Sioux City East and playing one season at the collegiate level.

Diew played in 16 games for the Bulldogs, averaging 5.3 points and 2.9 assists per game.

As a 6-foot-1 forward, she ended the season leading her team and placing third in the Big East with 1.4 blocks per game.

Due to the blanket waiver the NCAA put forth in result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Diew will have four years of eligibility remaining starting with the upcoming 2021-22 season.
