Iowa State football is officially favored for the first time since San Jose State visited Ames on Sept. 24. The Cyclones have opened as an 11.5-point favorite leading up to their game against Kansas in Lawrence on Saturday.

The Jayhawks and Cyclones are both 1-8 on the year.

Kansas is 4-5 against the spread this season and 3-1 at home. Iowa State is 6-3 against the spread and 2-2 on the road.

The Jayhawks are coming off a 48-21 loss to West Virginia on Saturday. The Cyclones fell to Oklahoma 34-24 at Jack Trice Stadium on Thursday.

Kansas’ 24-23 loss to TCU on Oct. 8 is its only loss by single-digits this season. The Jayhawks and Cyclones will kickoff at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports Network.
