It was a good weekend all around for the Iowa State football program. Not only did the Iowa State go on the road to upset Texas 28-21, future Cyclone (2011 commit) Rob Standard ran for 356 yards and two touchdowns Chaminade’s (St. Louis) 26-24 win over Parkway North.

Standard ran for 256 yards in the second half to lead his team back from being down 24 points at halftime.

In putting up those numbers, Standard shattered the St. Louis area rushing record that previously was at 7,109 yards. Standard now sits at 7,267 career yards.

In another amazing statistic, Standard has scored a touchdown in 33 straight games.

Standard chose Iowa State over an offer from Nebraska.
