Iowa State football will be in search of a new offensive coordinator for the second time in the same amount of seasons.

It was reported Monday by Adam Schefter that Nate Scheelhaase has been hired away by the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams. Scheelhaase will take the position of Pass Game Analyst with L.A.

CycloneFanatic can confirm the report.

Scheelhaase spent six seasons with the Iowa State program, and was promoted to offensive coordinator for the 2023 season.

Under Scheelhaase’s leadership, Iowa State was No. 7 nationally in red zone efficiency (31-for-33) in 2023 and finished the season with a 6-3 record in Big 12 play (7-5 overall).
