Four-star center A’mare Bynum got to see all of Iowa State’s 92-37 win on Sunday at Hilton Coliseum.

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound prospect out of Omaha has emerged as a priority target for Iowa State for its 2025 recruiting class, and he may not be done growing just yet, either.

“They told me that it looked like I got taller,” Bynum said after his visit to Ames. “And that they could definitely see me fitting in at Iowa State.”

Bynum said he’s hovering between 6-foot-8 and 6-foot-9 at the moment, and expects to be in attendance for games in the future as well.

Bynum’s father, Omar, played at Iowa State during his collegiate career, as well.

“I like the way how they play, just getting off the floor quick and playing hard,” Bynum said. “They definitely want me to come up to more games during conference play.”

So far in his recruitment, Bynum has seen offers from Iowa State, Iowa, Colorado, Texas Tech, Creighton, Nebraska, Tennessee, Oregon, California, and Wake Forest.

He doesn’t want to categorize anything as a ‘top 4’ at the moment, but has heard the most from Iowa State, Creighton and Nebraska as well as Texas, who has not yet officially offered the Bryan High School prospect.

“It’s really rewarding to see the work pay off,” Bynum said of the lengthy offer list. “It definitely put some pressure on me, but now that the season’s started, some of the pressure has came off of me and I’ve gotten to focus on the season.”

Expect Bynum to be around for a number of games at Hilton Coliseum this year, especially once conference play gets underway in Ames.
