AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women’s basketball senior guard Emily Ryan was named to the 2023-24 All-Big 12 Preseason Team announced by the Conference Wednesday afternoon. Ryan is a repeat selection, having been featured on the preseason team in 2022-23 as well.

Ryan, a junior from Claflin, Kansas was a Second Team All-Conference selection a season ago, helping the Cyclones to their third Big 12 Championship in program history. Playing and starting all 32 games, she played a Big 12-high 36.3 minutes per game while dishing out 204 assists and becoming the first player in school history with two seasons of 200 dimes. During the 2022-23 Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament Championships, Ryan averaged 9.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while playing all but two minutes for Iowa State over the three-day period. In the quarterfinal win against Baylor, she became the 34th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points.ADVERTISING
