Iowa State men’s basketball has seen a number of 2025 and 2026 prospects visit campus for the first four home football weekends of the year.

None were more highly rated than 2026 wing Dothan Ijadimbola, who was in Ames on Saturday before Iowa State’s game against TCU.

“It was good,” Ijadimbola said. “It started out early. I got down there on Friday night and got up around 6 or 7 a.m. to see a scrimmage. It was good.”

During the visit, the 6-foot-6 recruit met with almost all of the Iowa State coaching staff.

He currently holds offers to Iowa State, Iowa and Minnesota, and has gone on visits to each of the schools in the past six weeks.

“Ames was fun. The coaching staff was friendly. Coach (Otzelberger) and Coach (Kyle) Green – they’re cool people. They like my playstyle. They like how I can get to my pull-up and how I can get down hill.”

When looking at playstyle, Ijadimbola wants an offense that can push the pace.

“It’s probably their playstyle,” Ijadimbola said. “They play fast. I like to play fast. They push it out in transition, obviously. That’s really what I look for in schools – and coaches’ relationships, obviously.”

Below is some highlights during one of his games at Totino-Grace High School.

The Minneapolis prospect wasn’t able to attend the football game on Saturday night, however he pointed out the intensity of the scrimmage he saw Saturday morning.

“I thought it was intense,” Ijadimbola said. “I liked the way they fought against each other and the way they competed.”

It’s obviously very early in the 2026 recruiting cycle and there will be a plentiful amount of updates with Iowa State’s recruiting charts.

Although, his current 247Sports composite scale rating would line him up to be one of the top 4 highest prospects to ever play in Ames. Two of those players in the top 3 will be on the court this season in Omaha Biliew and Milan Momcilovic.

“They think I can be a good fit – I hope so,” Ijadimbola said. “I don’t think they would have offered me if I wasn’t.”
