According to a report by Randy Peterson and Travis Hines of the Des Moines Register, Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers has been accused of gambling on sporting events he was competing in.

The report states that the Story County Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint against Dekkers.

The accusation says that Dekkers placed 26 wagers on Iowa State sporting events, specifically.

The report alleges that the DraftKings account under Dekkers’ name placed approximately 366 wagers, totaling “over $2,799.”

Under new NCAA guidelines, Dekkers would face a permanent loss of eligibility.

Update: Iowa State football player Dodge Sauser and wrestler Paniro Johnson have each been added to the report.

Sauser allegedly placed 12 wagers on Iowa State games, including 2022 matchups against Ohio, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech, totaling $3,075.

Paniro, on the other hand, is alleged to have placed a total of $45,640 on approximately 1,283 bets which includes 25 wagers on Iowa State events.
