Former Iowa State linebacker Mike Rose is headed to Miami.

Rose waded through XFL waters with the St Louis Battlehawks for eight games over the past season, and signed with Dolphins officially on Thursday.

With St. Louis, Rose corralled 35 tackles including four for a loss of yards while helping the team to a 7-3 record.

The Dolphins kick off their preseason schedule with a game against Atlanta on Friday, August 11 (6:00 p.m. CT).
