We’re in the heart of the off-season, having just passed the 4th of July holiday, which means NBA Summer League action is about to kick off again.
So far, a pair of former Cyclones have agreed to summer league deals in Gabe Kalscheur with the Golden State Warriors, and Osun Osunniyi with the Washington Wizards.
The 11-day showcase event kicks off in Las Vegas on Friday, July 7, but the summer session has already began for some teams in Sacramento’s California Classic.
Kalscheur appeared for two minutes during his team’s 100-94 loss to Sacramento, finishing with a plus/minus of +2.
The Minnesota native in Kalscheur will suit up once again for the Warriors in a California Classic game, before heading to Vegas to kick off the main, tournament-style slate.
In the Vegas portion of the event, teams will play four games before the top four teams get seeded and advance to a bracket-style portion of the weekend.
The teams that don’t qualify will play a fifth game on either July 15 or July 16 to round out the session.
