After being waived by the Dallas Wings on June 28, Ashley Joens is back in the WNBA signing an emergency hardship contract with the Las Vegas Aces.

The team is currently in first place in the league standings boasting a record of 19-2 through 21 games so far this year.

Emergency hardship contracts are given to teams to fill roster spots that open up due to injury, and serve as a seven-day contract similar to the NBA’s 10-day contracts.

Las Vegas’ next game will be played Thursday, July 20 against the Seattle Storm and will be broadcasted live on Prime. Iowa State fans can also catch Joens and the team Saturday, July 22 in their trip to face the Minnesota Linx (2 p.m. CT, ESPN).
