Former Cyclone Georges Niang has signed a $26 million, free agent contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday.

The Massachusetts native is gearing up for his eighth year in the NBA and the deal signed is a three-year contract to play for the team.

Niang’s two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers were his best since he entered the league, averaging 8.7 points per game over the two-year span, which was a career best.

In the same time span, Niang averaged 2.55 rebounds per game and dropped his turnerover rate to 0.8 turnovers per game to 0.7.

Niang and the Cavaliers will begin the 2023-24 season in November, although the schedule has not yet been released.
