Iowa State earned a commitment from Butte College transfer Tanner Hughes, which was first reported by Rivals’ Bill Seals, on Tuesday.

It makes him the fourth scholarship quarterback on the roster for newly named offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase.

The Cyclones originally offered Hughes Saturday and the California school transfer will join the room this summer.

Hughes’ highlights from the past season can be seen here: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/12694868/61b24ec517635008a48fa101

During the 2022 season at Butte, Hughes finished with 32 touchdowns and 2,193 yards with a 60 percent completion rate and just three interceptions.
