At least three former Cyclones will be banging the dasher boards in the Indoor Football League this season.
Marcel Spears Jr., Lawrence White IV, and Amechie Walker have all signed with the IFL’s San Diego Strike Force.
Each player will compete for a roster spot through training camp where around 40 players will try to claim one of 21 roster spots.
The Strike Force entered the league in 2018 where it has remained ever since. Although the franchise has not qualified for the playoffs, changes were made during the off-season.
Former Iowa Barnstormers quarterback and veteran coach Taylor Genuser has taken the reigns in San Diego which includes bringing in the group of former Cyclones.
The team will open the season on Sunday, March 26 against the Quad City Steamwheelers. Fans can watch each and every IFL game on the league’s YouTube channel for no cost.
