Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard isn’t holding back his feelings about the University of Texas as the Longhorns prepare for their jump to the SEC.

Pollard appeared on SicEm 365 Radio in Waco on Tuesday ahead of the Cyclones’ men’s basketball game against Texas in Austin. Iowa State lost the game, which was televised on the Longhorn Network, 72-54.

The fact the game was on LHN ruffled feathers all across the Iowa State footprint, apparently including with the athletic director.

“Can’t leave soon enough,” Pollard said when asked about the game’s network slot. “Does that answer your question?”

Yes, Jamie. Yes, it does.

Texas is slated to leave the league after the next school year with an official entry into the SEC in July 2024.
