The Iowa State women’s basketball team will begin the season as the No. 8 ranked team in the country, the second highest preseason ranking in school history.

Down a spot below the No. 7 ranked 1999-00 team, Bill Fennelly’s squad has high expectations for the 2022-23 season.

The Cyclones will open the season with an exhibition game against Winona State on November 2. The team will also face No. 23 South Dakota State this Saturday, October 22 in a closed-door scrimmage.
