Iowa State earned its second commitment toward the 2023 recruiting class on Monday, following a weekend of official visits Friday-Sunday.

Hartley, IA ATH prospect Kooper Ebel became the second recruit to announce he would play at Iowa State, following Jamison Patton.

Ebel comes to Iowa State as a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder playing his high school ball at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn.

The prospect chose Iowa State over Iowa, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and Illinois State.

Ebel becomes the 10th commitment to the 2023 recruiting class and is the fifth from the state of Iowa to announce his choice to play in Ames.
