For the first time in 12 years, the Iowa State women’s basketball program is headed back to the Sweet 16.

The Cyclones rolled No. 6 Georgia on Sunday night at Hilton Coliseum in a 67-44 win.

Lexi Donarski led the team in scoring with 20 points on the night, and helped the Cyclones turn an early 9-0 advantage into a 38-19 halftime score.

Emily Ryan broke the program record for assists in a single season, checking out with 15 points and nine assists.

Ashley Joens added a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double while Morgan Kane had 10 points on her own.

Iowa State’s next game will come against No. 10 Creighton, which upset No. 2 Iowa on Sunday afternoon.
