Days after an Iowa State signee in Tamin Lipsey earned a state championship in Iowa, Demarion Watson led his team to a postseason win in Minnesota.

Watson, a fellow member of Iowa State’s 2022 recruiting class, helped lead Totino-Grace to a birth in the section finals.

Behind a 14-point, 8-rebound performance, Watson and his team set up a 1-2 matchup with No. 1 Columbia Heights later this week:

Watson added three steals, assists and blocks in the win, and earned the Breakdown Sports Player of the Game award.

Both Watson and Eli King will play their section final games – with a ticket to the Minnesota HS state tournament on the line – on Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m.
