Hours after a beat down over one of the hottest teams in the conference, the Iowa State women’s basketball program got one player stronger.

Jalynn Bristow, a 2023 forward out of Texas, announced she was committing to Iowa State late Wednesday night.

Bristow is rated as the No. 48 prospect in the country by ESPN’s Super 60 and is the highest rated commit for Iowa State since Lexi Donarski came in at No. 14.

As a forward, Bristow received offers from Alabama, Wisconsin, TCU, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Illinois, Wichita State, Gonzaga, Houston, Providence, Penn State, Georgia and others.

She’ll join the Cyclones, who are off to a program-best 23-4 start, in 2023.
