The following is a press release from Iowa State Athletics:

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football team announced its spring football schedule, which includes three open practices at Ames High School (April 1, 5 p.m.), Gilbert High School (April 8, 5 p.m.) and Des Moines East High School (April 15, 6:30 p.m.).

The Cyclones will conduct 15 practices beginning on March 4 and ending on April 15. Details on the three open practices will be announced at a later date.

Iowa State, which is coming off its school-record fifth-straight bowl berth, returns 10 starters, including All-Big 12 first team performers Will McDonald IV (DE), Xavier Hutchinson (WR), Trevor Downing (OL) and Jared Rus (FB).

McDonald IV was a FWAA First Team All-American in 2021 and is five sacks shy from the Big 12 career record. Hutchinson has the fifth-most receptions in FBS (147) since 2020.

Iowa State’s Pro Day is scheduled for March 22.

The Cyclones boast a school-record six players (Breece Hall, Brock Purdy, Mike Rose, Chase Allen, Eyioma Uwazurike, Charlie Kolar) who were invited to the NFL Combine (March 1-7), tying for the 14th-most nationally.

Pro Day is NOT open to the public.
