Iowa State’s 2022 class got one player bigger on Tuesday evening, with the addition of an all-state kicking prospect out of Oklahoma.

Jace Gilbert – a five-star prospect by Kohl’s Kicking Camps – announced he would commit to Iowa State three days after the school offered him.

Gilbert played quarterback for his team in high school, leading Marlow to a 2A state championship with a pair of touchdowns and a field goal.

Gilbert had offers to play at both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but they were preferred walk-on spots according to Kohl’s.

The organization rates him as the No. 13 punter in the country and has him at No. 18 in the kicker spot.
