With college football season wrapped up and the Super Bowl matchup all set, we’re nearing that gap in the season some dread where the sport is off of TV’s (I watch indoor football, but that’s a different article).

Ahead of the big game on February 13, five former Cyclones will be participating in showcase games that highlight future NFL Draft prospects this weekend.

East-West Shrine Bowl

In the first of the two events, Brock Purdy will be facing off against Enyi Uwazurike in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday night (7:00 p.m. NFL Network).

The Shrine Bowl will be played in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, where the two put a beatdown on UNLV earlier this season. Purdy will play for the West team while Uwazurike will play on the East side.

Reese’s Senior Bowl

In the Reese’s Senior Bowl, three Cyclones will be a part of the action in Mobile, Alabama, and will all be on the same team.

Tight end Charlie Kolar, linebacker Mike Rose and kicker Andrew Mevis will each line up on the National side.

The Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. on NFL Network and will also feature Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder and Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett.
