Brock Purdy announced on his social media channels on Saturday that he will pursue the opportunity to play in the NFL, ending his storied career at Iowa State.

The Gilbert, Ariz. native finished his career at Iowa State 29-17 as a starter and lead the Cyclones to their first Big 12 conference championship game.

The quarterback ends his time at the school with a 12-3 record in the month of October, and is the only Iowa State quarterback to defeat each of the teams in the Big 12.

During his time at the Iowa State, Purdy re-wrote the record books, breaking 31 of the previously held school records in career passing yards, touchdowns among others.

Perhaps Purdy’s biggest moment at Iowa State came by way of leading the Cyclones to the 2020 Fiesta Bowl victory where the quarterback won MVP for his performance.

Purdy will look to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft, scheduled for April 28-30.
