AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball team announced its non-conference schedule for the 2021-22 season Monday. The Cyclones’ season-opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 9 against Omaha, following an exhibition game against Wisconsin-River Falls on Nov. 4.
The Cyclones’ schedule will feature seven home matchups and two road contests in non-conference action, while adding a neutral site tournament in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Esterro, Florida. After opening the season against Omaha, Iowa State will host South Dakota State on Monday, Nov. 15 before hitting the road to take on Drake in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 18. The Cyclones will square off with Southern on Sunday, Nov. 21 before traveling to Florida from Nov. 26-28 for the Gulf Coast Showcase.
The Cyclones will take their talents to Louisiana next when they take on LSU on Dec. 2, before returning home to play its final four non-conference games inside Hilton Coliseum, beginning with Longwood on Sunday, Dec. 5. Iowa State will then host Iowa in the much-anticipated Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk series on Wednesday, Dec. 8.
ISU will take on UNI on Sunday, Dec. 12, before closing out non-conference action with Prairie View A&M on Dec. 19.
Dates are still subject to change and a complete schedule featuring tip-off times and the Big 12 conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
