Iowa State announced today that the women’s basketball team will be playing in Estero, Florida over the Thanksgiving week this season.

The Cyclones were invited to participate in the 8-team, bracketed tournament over the break that regularly features a barrage of college basketball.

The team opens up the tournament, tabbed as the Gulf Coast Showcase, on November 26 against Charlotte.

They will then either play Penn State or St. Johns in the second round.

Each team is guaranteed three games with a loser’s bracket intact as well. The other side of the tournament features South Dakota State, UMass, UCLA, and Kent State.

This is the third, fourth, and fifth confirmed games on the Cyclones’ schedule for 2021-22. Other games include the annual Cy-Hawk matchup against Iowa and the Big/12 SEC Challenge at LSU.
