Breece Hall has been named to the watch list for the Doak Walker Award, given annually to the nation’s best running back.

The first unanimous All-American in Iowa State history was the runner-up for the award last season after leading the nation with 1,572 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding a pair of receiving touchdowns. The junior from Wichita goes into the season as the certain odds-on favorite to win the award.

Hall, who was named the Big 12’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2020, was the only player in the country to record 75-plus yards and a touchdown last season and was the first player in college football to achieve the feat since Ladainian Tomlinson in 2000.
