Iowa State went up north again.
Bill Fennelly and his staff have landed Ontario, Canada’s Shantavia Dawkins as the team’s first commitment for the 2022 recruiting class.
Dawkins is a 5-foot-8 point guard and the latest international recruit to sign for the program in Ames continuing the legacy left recently by players like Bridget Carleton, Adriana Camber and Ines Nezerwa.
Dawkins announced her commitment over Twitter on Friday afternoon.
