One day after Ames High star Tamin Lipsey became the first official offer of the T.J. Otzelberger era at Iowa State, we have learned about the second.

Otzelberger re-offered 2022 four-star combo guard Eli King on Sunday, a source told Cyclone Fanatic late Sunday night. The Caledonia, Minn. native was offered by Iowa State’s previous staff last summer and is an AAU teammate of Lipsey’s with D1MN.

King, who is 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds, is considered the No. 76 player in the nation in the 2022 recruiting class, the No. 12 combo guard and No. 2 prospect in the state of Minnesota, according to 247Composite. Otzelberger recruited and coached King’s older brother, Owen, at South Dakota State for the 2018-19 season.

King also holds offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Marquette, Northern Iowa and Stanford.

Stay tuned to Cyclone Fanatic for more on this story and full updates on Otzelberger’s initial recruiting trail work as the Cyclones’ head coach in the coming days.
