Iowa State remains in the running for one of the nation’s best guards.
Omaha five-star prospect Hunter Sallis cut his list of collegiate options to eight on Monday with Iowa State, Kentucky, Gonzaga, North Carolina, Creighton, Oregon, Kansas and UCLA making the final eight.
Sallis is considered the No. 7 player in the country, No. 2 combo guard and top player in the state of Nebraska. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound prospect has long been a priority for Iowa State in the 2021 class as the Cyclones were the third program to offer him a scholarship in September of 2018.
Steve Prohm’s program signed one player in the early period last week, four-star Wisconsin point guard Tyrese Hunter.
