What figures to be a massive Big 12 match-up will be played on network TV.

No. 20 Iowa State’s Oct. 24 road trip to Stillwater to take No. 7 Oklahoma State will kick at 2:30 p.m. on FOX. Both teams will enter the game undefeated in Big 12 play, with the Cyclones sitting at 3-0 and Oklahoma State at 2-0.

Oklahoma State’s game against Baylor, which was scheduled for Oct. 17, was postponed Sunday night to Dec. 12 due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the Bears’ program. Iowa State won its third straight game to open conference play on Saturday 31-15 over Texas Tech while the Cowboys had the weekend off.

The Cyclones’ last trip to Stillwater is best remembered for the debut of Brock Purdy. The true freshman entered the game for Iowa State’s second offensive series then promptly went 18-of-23 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns through the air plus another 84 yards and a score on the ground in a 48-42 Iowa State win.

Last season, a 34-27 Cowboys win handed the program its first loss in the month of October since 2017. It was marked by Purdy throwing three interceptions and attempting 62 passes.

That game remains the program’s only loss in its last 13 games played in the month of October.
