The Big 12 announced on Wednesday it has rescheduled its annual football media days for Monday, August 3. The event was originally scheduled to be held virtually July 20 and 21.

“As everyone is aware, our head coaches and student-athletes have not been able to collectively engage in organized team functions since athletics activities were suspended in March,” Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said in the statement. “We felt it was prudent to give coaches a chance to re-acclimate with their teams prior to participating in our annual season preview event.”

Teams were allowed to begin organized activities on Monday with fall camps currently slated to start on August 7.
