Iowa State landed its sixth known verbal commitment for the 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday night.
Robert Army Jr., a 6-foot-, 186-pound athlete out of Detroit (Southfield) posted the news on his Twitter feed.
According to his 247 profile, Army chose the Cyclones over a handful of impressive P-5 offers including: Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Purdue, Syracuse, West Virginia and Boston College.
Army is the second wide receiver to commit to Iowa State’s 2021 class. He is considered to be an “athlete” though, which means he could end up potentially in the secondary as well.
