Iowa State’s closer than expected win over Kansas on Saturday was enough to keep the Cyclones in the latest College Football Playoff poll released on Tuesday, but it was not enough to keep them from falling one spot.

The Cyclones made their 10th appearance in the poll over the last three seasons when they were ranked No. 23 by the College Football Playoff Committee. Iowa State and Oklahoma State, which came in at No. 21 this week, are tied for the second-most appearances in the poll over the last three seasons, behind only No. 7 Oklahoma’s 16 appearances.

This week’s top-four remained the same, albeit in a slightly different order with Ohio State jumping LSU for the top spot followed by Clemson and Georgia.

Iowa State will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Kansas State for a 6 p.m. kick on FS1.
