Another former Cyclone has found a home in the NBA.

It was reported early on Wednesday that the Minnesota Timberwolves have signed former Cyclone guard Lindell Wigginton, according to Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Smith. The terms of the undrafted free agent’s contract are unclear at this time.

Wigginton, a native of Nova Scotia, Canada, who played in the NBA Summer League with the Toronto Raptors, averaged 15.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game across two seasons in Ames. The explosive scorer was one of the key pieces of Iowa State’s 2019 Big 12 Tournament title run, earning All-Tournament team honors, and was named the Big 12’s sixth man of the year as a sophomore.

If Wigginton is able to stick with the team on a two-way contract, he could be playing just down the road from Ames as a member of the Iowa Wolves, who play their home games at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
