The preseason honors continue to roll in for one of the most prolific pass rushers in the history of Iowa State football. On Monday, JaQuan Bailey was named to the Bednarik Award Watch List.

The Bednarik Award is given annually to the nation’s best college football defensive player.

Bailey enters his senior season tied for the program record in career sacks with 18.5. He recorded 46 tackles and 8.0 sacks last season on his way to earning second-team All-Big 12 honors.

The preseason All-Big 12 selection enters his senior season with the fourth highest total nationally in career tackles for loss (31.5) of any active player in college football.
