Former Cyclone Marial Shayok is one of 10 players who have turned their performances at the NBA G-League Elite Camp into an invitation to the NBA Combine later this week. Shayok joins former teammate Talen Horton-Tucker in being invited to the league’s premier scouting event.

Shayok, a first-team All-Big 12 performer during his one season in Ames, scored 11 points, 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 1-of-2 from 3-point range, while adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals during his first game at the event on Monday. He followed that up by scoring 10 points on 4-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep plus two rebounds, two assists and two steals off the bench during his second game on Tuesday.

Joining Shayok on the list of players who earned invites during the event were Ole Miss’ Terrence Davis, Tulsa’s Dequan Jeffries, Nevada’s Cody Martin, Miami’s Dewan Hernandez, UCF’s Tacko Fall, Auburn’s Jared Harper, Iowa’s Tyler Cook, Syracuse’s O’Shae Brissett and Mississippi State’s Reggie Perry.

The other former Cyclone who participated in the event, Lindell Wigginton, did not receive an invite to the NBA Combine. Wigginton combined to shoot 5-of-17 from the field for a total of 11 points in roughly 38 minutes of play across the two days.

The NBA Draft Combine will begin on Thursday running through the weekend. The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 20.
