Iowa State will be without its leading scorer on Wednesday in Morgantown. Marial Shayok suffered a left foot injury during practice on Monday and will miss the regular season’s penultimate game, according to multiple reports.

Cyclone Fanatic publisher Chris Williams reports Shayok’s injury is day-to-day and he will be re-evaluated prior to Saturday’s regular-season finale in Ames against Big 12 co-leaders Texas Tech. He is expected to be available for action next week when the Cyclones tip off in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.

Shayok, who is averaging 18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds for the 20-9 Cyclones, likely joins fellow senior guard Nick Weiler-Babb on the bench for Wednesday’s game. Weiler-Babb is recovering from a knee bruise suffered in the loss to Texas on Saturday and head coach Steve Prohm said on Monday they plan to take his recovery slow with the postseason looming.

Iowa State and West Virginia will tip at 6 p.m. on Wednesday on ESPN2.
