Saturday’s Iowa State football game looked like it was going to be just another kick in the stones that Cyclone fans seem to experience just about every year.

Iowa State was on the verge of its 11th straight loss to Kansas State, going down 38-21 with 12 and a half minutes left on the game clock.

Fans had started heading to the exits.

Even fans that weren’t at the game wanted to start heading towards the exits.

We compiled the best, “Overreaction Tweets,” from Saturday’s game.

Hawkeye fans chimed in with some new Brock Purdy puns that Iowa State fans haven’t heard yet.

Understandably so, Iowa State fans were filled with frustration.

Other Cyclone fans were willing to bet everything against the Cyclones in a bowl game.

Even West Virginia fans were dismayed.

One suggested a move to the American Athletic Conference.

Some called for the seniors to be on the field to finish out senior night and pack up the bags.

It still seemed like Iowa State needed too much help to turn things around and win this game, and then Mike Rose had a fumble fall right into his hands.

The ball had bounced from Skylar Thompson’s grasp, as he was hit from behind, and landed right into the hands of Rose – who returned it for the score.

One fan was so overjoyed, that he offered Rose his children.

All of the sudden, fans heading out of the stadium wanted to get back in.

Iowa State went on to win this one 42-38 in an unbelievable 17-point fourth quarter comeback.

The 80 points scored in the game were the most in the entire 102-meeting series, solidifying its spot as one of the best Farmageddon games of all time.

This tweet, however, summed it all up perfectly.
