Iowa State has landed a commitment from three-star 2019 point guard Tre Jackson. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound South Carolina native announced his pledge on Twitter late Tuesday night.
Jackson is rated as the No. 368 recruit in the 2019 class by 247Composite. He’s the No. 46 point guard in the class and No. 9 player in the state of South Carolina.
Iowa State landed Jackson’s commitment following an official visit over the weekend. He chose the Cyclones over offers from South Carolina, Murray State, Buffalo and a host of other Division I programs.
Steve Prohm’s program now holds commitments from three players in the 2019 class with Jackson joining Arkansas guard Marcedus Leech and Florida forward Luke Anderson. The Cyclones could potentially have one more spot in the class depending on the future of star sophomore guard Lindell Wigginton.
Jackson’s commitment bumps Iowa State’s class up to No. 31 nationally.
