Iowa State has landed a commitment from three-star Texas wide receiver DK Blaylock. The 6-foot-4, 170-pound prospect announced his decision on Twitter Sunday morning following an official visit.
Blaylock, who is Iowa State’s third 2019 commit in three days, is rated as the No. 81 athlete in the class and No. 124 player from Texas. The New Deal, Texas native chose Iowa State over offers from Illinois, Southern Miss, New Mexico State, Bowling Green and a few other college programs.
Blaylock joins Florida linebacker Aric Horne and Illinois offensive lineman Darrell Simmons as players committing to the Cyclones’ 2019 class over the weekend. He is Iowa State’s second wide receiver from the state of Texas in this class joining Houston prospect Nathaniel Beal.
Iowa State’s class is currently rated as the No. 38 class in the country with 14 commitments.
