AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball program and junior forward Bride Kennedy-Hopoate have mutually agreed to part ways and she will no longer continue to be a member of the team, head coach Bill Fennelly announced Monday.
The mutual decision was made following end-of-season meetings.
“Bride will no longer be a part of the Iowa State basketball program,” Fennelly said. “She plans to seek a transfer and we wish her nothing but the best.”
“I would like to thank all of Cyclone Nation, the coaching staff and my teammates and everyone I have met along the way for the support given to me on and off the court,” Kennedy-Hopoate said. “I enjoyed my time at Iowa State, and I felt it was in my best interest to continue my basketball career elsewhere.”
