WRESTLING: ISU loses 125-pounder Danny Vega

According to IA Wrestle, redshirt freshman Danny Vega is leaving Iowa State due to personal reasons.

Vega is from Ironwood Ridge, Arizona and in 2016 was ranked 76th among recruiting rankings. Vega went 14-7 during his redshirt season. Vega did not wrestle in the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open last weekend.

With Vegas’ departure, that leaves sophomore Jakob Allison and redshirt Johnathan Marmolejo at 125-pounds.

Vega has not made any comment on his reported departure.
