Iowa State has picked up a commitment from Trinity Valley C.C. safety Greg Eisworth, according to his Twitter account. The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back started his collegiate career at Ole Miss.
Eisworth, a native of Grand Prairie, Texas, officially visited Iowa State the weekend of June 16. He picks the Cyclones over other offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Houston and West Virginia.
He is rated as the No. 30 JUCO prospect in the country and No. 2 safety by 247Composite. He was a three-star prospect rated as the No. 571 player in the country out of South Grand Prairie High School.
His prep offers included the likes of Oklahoma, Iowa, Baylor, Texas and a host of others. Eisworth joins punter Corey Dunn as junior college commitments in Iowa State’s 2018 recruiting class, which ranks as the No. 67 class in the country.
The Cyclones now have 14 commitments for the 2018 recruiting cycle, including a trio of high school defensive backs in Christian Young Anthony Johnson, Jr. and Jaeveyon Morton.
