Former Iowa State star Naz Mitrou-Long has signed a training camp deal with the Utah Jazz. The 2017 second team All-Big 12 selection announced the signing on his Twitter page Wednesday afternoon.
Mitrou-Long, a native of Missassauga, Ontario, Canada, played for the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers during the NBA Summer League this past summer. He averaged 15.1 points while shooting 38.4 percent from 3-point range during his senior season with the Cyclones and finished his career second all-time in school history in made 3-pointers.
Mitrou-Long joins point guard Monte Morris, who signed with the Denver Nuggets after being selected in the second round of the NBA Draft, as players from Iowa State’s 2016-17 roster to sign NBA deals.
