WBB: Iowa State releases Big 12 conference schedule

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball announced its 2017-18 Big 12 conference schedule on Thursday. The Cyclones will open the 18-game conference slate with a home game against Kansas, on Thursday, Dec. 28.

Following the Big 12 opener, the Cyclones will remain in Hilton Coliseum and host Oklahoma on Sun., Dec. 31 before hitting the road for a pair of games against Baylor and West Virginia.

Iowa State will begin postseason action at the 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, which will be held March 2-5 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Big 12 Championship will remain in Oklahoma City through the 2019 campaign.

The release of the Big 12 slate, completes Iowa State’s 29-game schedule, which features 12 games against teams that made the 2017 NCAA women’s basketball tournament.

Dates are still subject to change and a complete schedule featuring tip-off times and television will be announced at a later date.

He was elevated to the position of managing editor in January 2020. He is a regular contributor on 1460 KXNO in Des Moines and makes regular guest appearances on radio stations across the Midwest. Jared resides in Ankeny with his four-year-old puggle, Lolo.
