Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm and assistant coach Neill Berry will be in Virginia to see four-star point guard Lindell Wigginton on Wednesday at Oak Hill Academy, a source confirmed to Cyclone Fanatic. CycloneAlert‘s Alex Halstead was first to report the news.
Wigginton has been one of the staff’s top priorities since the summer. He’s the No. 53 prospect in the country and No. 12 point guard, according to 247 Composite.
It has long been thought that Iowa State and Oregon were the two leaders for Wigginton’s services, but after Oak Hill’s game last night he threw Arizona State into that mix, as well. He visited the Ducks on Sept. 9 and the Sun Devils on Oct. 7.
He visited Iowa State the weekend of Sept. 23.
Iowa State has sent someone to Oak Hill Academy to visit Wigginton almost every week since early-September. It is unclear what kind of timeline Wigginton has for making a decision.
Stay tuned to Cyclone Fanatic for updates. We hope to have more on this story in the coming days.
